Naveen Patnaik To Take Oath As CM At 10.30 am On May 29

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) chief Naveen Patnaik and the new council of ministers will be sworn in at 10.30am on May 29 at the IDCO Exhibition Ground here, a press release issued by Principal Secretary to the Odisha Governor informed.

The press release further stated that after being satisfied that the BJD commands a majority in the Odisha Legislative Assembly, the Governor extended an invitation to BJD chief Naveen Patnaik to form the new government in the state.

Accordingly, the new council of Ministers, headed by chief minister Naveen Patnaik, will be sworn-in at the exhibition ground in Bhubaneswar at 10.30 am on May 29 (Wednesday).

As per reports, around 5000 guests, including the newly elected legislators and BJD party functionaries, will be a part of the ceremony.

Noteworthy, the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD emerged as the single largest party in Odisha by winning 112 seats out of the 146 assembly constituencies and 12 out of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in the recently concluded general elections.
