4 Injured In Post-Poll Violence In Cuttack’s Niali

Cuttack: At least four persons, including a minor girl, sustained injuries in an incident of post-poll violence at Pokhari village in Niali of Odisha’s Cuttack district on Monday.

As per reports, a few persons belonging to a political party barged into the house of a person in the village and attacked the entire family members with lathis.

It is being speculated that the attack could be a result of political rivalry between two parties.

Out of the four victims, three have sustained critical injuries. They have been admitted to the SCB Medical and Hospital in Cuttack.

Meanwhile, Policemen have been deployed in the village to avoid further escalation of tension in the area.
