Muslim girl from Balasore dist sings Sanskrit Vedic hymns, Jagannath Bhajans: Watch

Jaleswar: A muslim girl from Balasore district of Odisha has been seen singing Sanskrit hymns from Veda as well as Lord Jagannath bhajan with perfection. She can sing Maha Mrutyunjaya mantra, Ganesh Vandana, Guru Vandana and other devotional songs. She reads Namaj but also worships Lord Jagannath.

Meet Mamuni Khatun, a muslim girl from a poor farmer’s family in Sunarui village under Baliapala block of Balasore district.

Like Bhakta Salabega, the ardent devotee of Lord Jagannath, Mamuni also worships Lord Jagannath and sings His bhajans. And her family does not restrict her.

Mamuni’s aim is to become a Sanskrit teacher. However, since she hails from a poor family, she thinks her parents can’t afford her higher studies and hence she has sought government help. She has cleared Matric with first class and wants to become a Sanskrit teacher.
