Maoist poster surfaces in Balangir of Odisha

Titilagarh: After few days lull Maoist poster issuing threats to the government have surfaced again in Titilagarh area in Balangir district today morning.

The poster released in the name of outlawed CPI (Maoist) group were found on the Main Road in Pipilibandha village. Put up on a tree felled by the red rebels this poster categorically raised the deforestation and migrated labourers issue and shout answer from the government.

“Forest covers have reduced alarmingly in Barni and Pipilibandha areas under Titilagarh Range in Balangir Forest Division, in last three years. Similarly, a large number of people are leaving their native place in the state in search of work in other states. We demand an answer from the State Government on these issues. The government would face dire consequences if it fails to respond soon,” the Maoist poster read.

While police have reached the post and examining the authenticity of the poster, the incident has left the villager in a state of panic.
