Bhubaneswar: Odisha may experience heavy rainfall starting from the next Saturday (November 6) under the influence of a Low-Pressure Area (LOPAR) likely to develop over north Andaman sea on November 3, predicts Weatherman.
However, as per the US-based National Centre for Environment Prediction (NCEP) the low pressure which would develop into a tropical depression and cross Andhra Pradesh coasts by November 11-12 are unlikely to turn into a tropical cyclone.
The weather report further said the whole of Odisha will witness an overcast sky starting from November 9 with heavy rain continuing till next Monday. The south interior and coastal Odisha are likely to receive maximum rainfall during this period.
The low-pressure formation will move west-northwestwards after developing into a depression to cross near Macchlipatnam of Andhra Pradesh.
