Jeypore: Koraput Police today busted an inter-state ganja racket and arrested 15 peddlers possessing around 11 tonne contraband items worth over Rs 2 crore.
After conducting simultaneous raids at four places police detained at least five vehicles in which the ganja consignments were being sent to Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, and arrested the peddlers boarding it, informed Jeypore SDPO Sagarika Nath.
Cases under relevant sections of NDPS Act have been registered against the held accused and further investigation is underway, Nath added.
Interrogation of the held accused is underway to extract more information on the racket.
