IMD predicts light to moderate rainfall in Odisha in next 24 hours

Bhubaneswar: The IMD Regional Centre here has predicted thundershower along with light to moderate rainfall for most parts of the state in next 24 hours.

As per the Newcast released this morning, a cyclonic circulation which has formed over Bangladesh is very likely to bring more rainfall to Odisha districts like Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur in the next 24 hours. Heavy rainfall is also expected at places in these districts, it added.

As the cyclonic formation is predicted to intensify into a low pressure by August 5, the state is very likely to receive more downpours.
