Malkangiri: Tightening the noose around illegal drug traders Malkangiri police Monday seized 187 kg ganja worth Rs 20 lakh . Four persons have been arrested in this connection.
On being informed, police arrived on the spot and seized the contraband. The accused were intercepted while carrying the narcotics in four vehicles.
Police said the two seized vehicles were registered in Uttar Pradesh. And all the four arrested persons are from out of state. Two of them are from Bihar while the other two are from Uttar Pradesh.
In 2019 so far 8 thousand kg of marijuana have been seized in Malkangiri, out of which 38% was from outside Odisha, added police.
