3 rooms damaged in Bhadrak market complex explosion

Bhadrak: People were left in a State of panic on the premises of RMC Market Complex in Bhadrak this morning after at least three rooms of a storage unit were destroyed in an explosion.

However, no casualty has been reported in the blast.

The mishap took place this morning while the traders were preparing to open their shops. Blasts took place in a store where bleaching powder in huge quantity had been stored.

At least 130 tonnes of bleaching powder had been kept in the store where the explosion took place. Traders immediately called up police and fire officials for assistance, said a source.

While an investigation is underway into the incident, the cause behind the explosion is not known.
