Jajpur: Badachana police busted a gang of dacoits and arrested six members of the gang. Police have seized seven crude bombs, a country made pistol and other sharp edged weapons from the accused.
Acting on reliable information, a police raided a place in Chandikhol late last night and busted the gang.
“They were preparing to commit dacoity near Srirampur toll gate located on Chandikhol-Paradeep road. The gang was involved in a number of cases of loot, robbery and dacoity in the district. We are further verifying their antecedents,” said a police official.
All of the accused have also been forwarded to the court.
