Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, the makers of ‘Biju Babu’ unveiled the first look of the film on Thursday. The movie is a biopic based on the life of the legendary leader and former Chief Minister of Odisha Biju Patnaik. It stars Ollywood superstar and Rajya Sabha MP Anubhav Mohanty in the titular role.
Co-produced by Prakash Films and Akshay Parija Productions, ‘Biju Babu’ has been directed by National award-winning Odia filmmaker and Padmashri Awardee Dr. Nila Madhab Panda.
The film was announced last month. Sharing his excitement over playing Biju Patnaik, Anubhav Mohanty said, “Biju Babu is my idol. His ideology and vision have always inspired me. It will be a challenge for me to recreate his character on silver screen.”
The first look of ‘Biju Babu’ was shared by actor Anubhav Mohanty and director Nila Madhab Panda on their respective Twitter handles.

Biju Patnaik’s son and current Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik also took to Twitter to convey his best wishes to the entire team of ‘Biju Babu’.
