FIFA Delegation To Inspect Kalinga Stadium On Nov 29 For FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2020

Bhubaneswar: A FIFA delegation led by Oliver Vogt (FIFA Tournaments and Events division) will be visiting Kalinga Stadium on November 29.

The FIFA and Local Organising Committee (LOC) delegation will be inspecting each stadium and all the designated training sites in each city including Bhubaneswar to evaluate the progress made towards the preparation for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup to be held in India in between 2nd and 21st November 2020. 

Earlier in August the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar was selected as a provisional venue for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2020.

Sports department officials said that the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2020 will have a lasting influence in sports in India and Odisha and will upgrade the infrastructure to FIFA standards. Kalinga Stadium will become the first to host a FIFA competition in Odisha.
