Dense fog returns to Odisha, yellow warning issued to 23 districts for today

Regional Meteorological Department suggests that dense fog is likely to continue in Odisha under the influence of high pressure system. 

Bhubaneswar: Winter has returned to Odisha after few days of rainfall. Dense fog is being witnessed in several parts of Odisha. Forecasts from the Regional Meteorological Department suggest that dense fog is likely to continue in state under the influence of high pressure system.

A yellow warning has been issued to 23 districts of Odisha in view of dense fog today. Some districts across coastal Odisha might experience slight to moderate fog tomorrow. Similarly, some areas of interior Odisha might experience fog tomorrow as well. 15 districts of Odisha have been given a yellow alert for fog tomorrow.

Some places in state might witness reduced visibility due to fog, ranging between 50 to 100 meters. As a result of which, transportation and daily life might be disrupted.

Significant weather change in Odisha might be witnessed from tomorrow onwards. Night time temperature might increase by two to three degree Celsius. On the other hand, rainfall is likely to return to Odisha from February 1. The regional meteorological department has estimated rainfall in the state on February 1 and 2.
