Khordha: A couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging at Nairi village under Banpur police limits last night.
As per reports Sanatan Sahu (20) had a love marriage with Sibani Sahu (16) three months ago. However, their marital life was under pressure due to poverty. The couple had recently moved to a rented accommodation near the house of Sanatan.
Villagers said that the couple used to have arguments over their poor financial condition. Police said that the wife first committed suicide in the house after both of them had an argument.
Sanatan later carried the body to his house and committed suicide in his house. Police have started an investigation after sending the bodies for postmortem.
