Jajpur: A 54-year-old man lost both his legs after being run over by a train at Garh Madhupur railway station in the district today.
The victim identified as Gunanidhi Dora is currently undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
As per reports Dora, a resident of Thanula village under Dharmasala block was boarding a train when he fell on the tracks and the train ran over him.
Fire personnel rescued him and rushed him to the nearest hospital from where he was shifted to SCB Medical College in Cuttack. Family members of the victim requested the state government to bear the medical expenses due to his poor financial condition.
