Keonjhar: In a tragic incident, a man and his wife were charred to death as their house caught fire on Sunday night. The cause of the fire is said to be electric short circuit. The incident took place in Balada village under Bamebari Police limits in Keonjhar district of Odisha.
The deceased persons have been identified as Purnachandra Dehuri (35) and his wife Laxmi Dehuri (33).
As per reports, the couple was witnessed as charred to death while their two sons narrowly escaped. Identified as Rathi Dehuri and Tarun Dehury, the two minor sons of the couple have been admitted to the hospital in Joda.
A pall of gloom has descended in the area following the incident while the villagers are still frightened due to electricity accidents.
