Odisha: Commissionerate Police unearthed sex racket, 4 women rescued

Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police has unearthed a sex racket that was running in the name of consultancy in Odisha today and arrested one pimp from the spot, informed ACP Sanjiv Satpathy.

According to reports, the sex racket has been operating in the name of Laxmi Consultancy since a long time in Satya Vihar under Mancheswar police limits in capital city, Bhubaneswar.

The women employees of the consultancy office had lodged a complaint with Mancheswar police station. Based on a filed complaint, the Commissionerate Police conducted a raid and rescued four women from the spot.

During the raid, one dealer has managed to escape from the spot by jumping off the wall while another pimp, identified as Laxmi Narayan Pattanayak, has been arrested by the police.

It is to be noted that Pattanayak was the owner of the Laxmi Consultancy service, added ACP Satpathy. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
