Concrete chunk falls on patient’s attendant in Bhima Bhoi MCH

Balangir: Attendant of a patient sustained injuries after a chunk of ceiling dislodged and fell on him in Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir district today.

The incident took place at Kangaroo Mother Care Unit (KMCU) of the hospital this morning while the victim was standing near the bed of the patient and a chunk of concrete came off the ceiling to hit him.

While the victim was immediately rushed for treatment, tension gripped the hospital premise for quite some time over the incident as relatives of others patients feared similar happenings with them also.

Later, the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) ordered for a probe into the incident and assured patients of all precautionary measures to prevent more such incidents from happening.
