In a strange incident, 2 cocks have been put in custody for the last 25 days after they were rescued during a raid on a gambling den. The unusual incident took place in Telangana.
As per reports, on the occasion of Pongal festival, cock fight gambling is organised in some places of Telangana. On January 10, such a gambling was going on in Banampur village in Khammam district of Telangana.
After getting information about this illegal trade Police raided the place and nabbed two gamblers as well as the two fighting cocks.
Following their arrest, the two gamblers managed to get bail, but nobody was bothered for the cocks.
Accordingly, the two cocks are now in Police custody and Mudigonda Police personnel are taking care of them. Police have said that following the Court’s order on the said gambling, these two cocks will be put up for auction.
