CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurates Smart School Transformation Utsav

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, has inaugurated the Smart School Transformation Utsav of 1025 educational institutions via video conferencing today. The schools have been transformed under the 5T initiative. In the first phase, the transformation of schools have been completed in 30 districts of the State.

Reportedly, 142 smart schools were inaugurated by CM Patnaik on the first day of the utsav.

“Today will always be a special day for the development of education in Odisha. I am happy to announce the launch of 1025 high schools that have been transferred into smart classrooms, ” said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. This transformation program of schools will help to bridge the gap between government and private schools.

The state government has reserved 15% of seats for children in government schools to turn their dreams of becoming doctors and engineers into reality.

Earlier in August, CM Naveen dedicated as many as 10 schools which got a face-lift out of the 50 schools in Hinjili and Seragarh blocks of Ganjam district.

Apart from smart-classrooms, the smart schools have e-libraries, e-laboratories, modern washrooms, and drinking water filters, etc. The students will be able to study through projectors and white boards instead of the blackboards.
