CM Naveen Patnaik congratulates Raghubar Das on being appointed as Governor of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated Former Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das on being appointed as the new Governor of Odisha.

CM Naveen Patnaik tweeted, “Congratulate Shri @dasraghubar Ji on being appointed as Governor of #Odisha. Looking forward to working with him towards the state’s development and people’s welfare. Wish him a successful tenure.”

On Wednesday, the Rashtrapati Bhavan officially announced the appointment of Raghubar Das as the new Governor of Odisha. This appointment was made by President of India, Droupadi Murmu.

Raghubar Das will assume the role of Governor of Odisha with immediate effect. He will succeed Prof. Ganeshi Lal, whose tenure concluded on May 28, 2023.

Raghubar Das, who served as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand from 2014 to 2019, currently holds the position of one of the national vice presidents of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The new Governor, Raghubar Das, is expected to bring his experience and expertise to his new role in Odisha, supporting the state’s continued development and governance.

At the same time, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu has been named as the next Governor of Tripura. These appointments mark a significant change in the gubernatorial leadership in these states.
