Rourkela: Yet another life has been claimed by Cholera in Rourkela as the dangerous disease claimed yet another life, said reliable reports.
According to reports, officially there have been 10 deaths in the district but unofficial the disease has already claimed 15 lives. The man who lost his life today has been identified as Pankaj.
In view of the rising cholera cases in Rourkela, a team of doctors from SCB Medical College and Hospital had visited the area on Thursday.
Within a week there have been as many as 13 deaths due to cholera cases in Rourkela of Sundargarh district in Odisha. The situation has caused and alarm among local people, say reports.
Over more than 1500 people have been affected with diarrhoea in Rourkela. Reports say, a special team comprising of experts from Bhubaneswar had visited Rourkela to assess the situation.
However it is worth mentioning that, the exact reason behind the outbreak of Cholera is yet to be ascertained. Further details awaited in this matter.
