Khordha: Tension ran high in Begunia area of the district last night after unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at the SUV of Rajya Sabha MP and senior BJD leader Prashanta Nanda’s son Rishabh Nanda which he survived.
As per the report, Risabh who attended a program at Anantapalli village last evening was on his way back to home in a Toyota Innova car when the attack took place. A group of bike-borne miscreants stopped Risabh near the Begunia mini stadium and targeted his SUV with bombs in which it got badly damaged.
While no damage was caused to Risabh, his driver and personal assistant in the incident the miscreants escaped from the spot following the attack immediately.
A past rivalry is suspected behind the attack and police has started investigation into the incident.
