Bhubaneswar: People were left in a state of panic in Bapuji Nagar market area in the city last night after some unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at a restaurant and injured a staff.
The injured person has been identified as Sarat Kumar Patnaik, Manager, Food Junction restaurant.
As per eyewitnesses, at least two youths reached near the restaurant late in the night riding a Honda Activa and targeted the restaurant’s entrance with crude bombs. While the glass fittings of the entrance door of the restaurant got badly damaged in the attack, Sarat who was present near it also got hurt.
The injured was rushed to a private hospital in the city for treatment immediately where his condition is stated to be out of danger.
While the exact reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, the Commissionerate Police is investigating the case.
