Boita main attraction in Odisha Pavilion at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi

A major attraction in the 'Odisha Pavilion' in Janata Maidan of New Delhi is the boita and the Karuna silk.

Delhi/Bhubaneswar: The India International Trade Fair is going on at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. A major attraction here is the ‘Odisha Pavilion’. Odisha’s art, culture, tourism, tribal life, handicrafts and handicrafts, rural products, Mission Shakti Ma’s hand-made items and agriculture and millet prepared food attract tourists.

The picture of Odisha’s art and development is reflected in the Odisha Pavilion.

‘Boita’, a symbol of the ancient Utkal trading tradition, enriches the Odisha Pavilion. In front of this, the dance performance of the artists of ‘Satyyuga Darshan Music Arts’ Institute of New Delhi was very impressive. They grabbed the attention of the audience by singing unity songs through commercials.

Various handicrafts and handicrafts are being displayed on the booth in the middle of Odisha Pavilion and live demonstration is being done. The sight of the traditional boat artefacts and the Saadhabis sitting on them gives a new experience to the tourists in New Delhi.

Odisha’s ‘Karuna Silk’ produced in a non-violent way has become an interesting subject of the Odisha Pavilion this time. Tourists from abroad are watching with great interest the sight of the traditional handloom weavers from Odisha weaving the cloths of Sree jgannath in Karuna silk.

The Odisha Pavilion has been prepared under the supervision of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Government of Odisha. Various items are being displayed and sold in 24 stalls by various departments of the government.
