Bhubaneswar: MLA Bikram Keshari Arukha has filed nomination for the post of Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly on Friday.
Reportedly, he has submitted the nomination papers before Dasharathi Satapathy, Secretary of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
A meeting of the House will be held on June 13 at 10.30 a.m. in the Assembly Hall as the election to the post will be held on the same date.
Notably, the post of the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly has been lying vacant after Surya Narayan Patro resigned on June 4 due to health issues.
