Bibhu Prasad Routray is new Judge of Orissa High Court

Cuttack: President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday appointed Judicial Officer Bibhu Prasad Routray as Judge of Orissa High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Bibhu Prasad Routray , to be a Judge of the Orissa high Court with effect from the date he assumes charges of his office,” said an official communiqué by Union Ministry of Law and Justice.

On October 3, Supreme Court Collegium recommended the appointments of judicial officer Bibhu Prasad Routray and Advocate Sanjeeb Kumar Panigrahi as judges of the Orissa High Court in Cuttak, Odisha.

Routray has served as the District Judge of Nabarangpur and is currently posted at Berhampur, Odisha.
