Beautiful place, good people: CM Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneswar: Beautiful place, good people: This was the summarised view of all the dignitaries who visited Odisha for the last two mega-events such as Make in Odisha Conclave and Men’s Hockey World Cup. This was posted by Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik on his official Facebook page.

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik shared his happiness in social media on successful completion of 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup Make in Odisha Conclave and Men’s Hockey World Cup.

His Facebook page said that recently Odisha has been hosting dignitaries from India and all over the world. Business owners, entrepreneurs were hosted by Odisha for the Make in Odisha Conclave 2018. Also for the 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup with 16 participating teams came other dignitaries, sportspersons, fans from all over the world. Mr Patnaik said that whoever he met first thanked him for the systematic arrangements and then responded with “Such a beautiful place and such good people”.

Mr Patnaik said that he was overwhelmed by this response from every dignitary that he met and he couldn’t thank people of Odisha enough for helping him achieve it.

Mr Patnaik also said that the dignitaries are now missing the hospitality and love they received in Odisha.

He added that we Odias are good-naturedly because of four basic facets. Firstly we are extremely respectful. Our forefathers learnt this through their spirituality and have now passed on this trait to us.

He said that we Odias being filled with humility is our second facet. “To me, humility comes from deep self-confidence. In fact, it is a higher power. Without humility, we lose the power to receive. As it is said – however high & mighty, the mountaintop may be, it cannot hold even a drop of rain” tweeted CM Patnaik.

Thirdly, he said that Odias are not just simple by nature but also have a simple way of life. Mr. Patnaik added that Odias maybe simplistic but not unwise. Being simple is a characteristic of a great person.

The fourth facet, he believes that we should be courteous and for that, we need to be merciful Mr Patnaik added that once we are unable to forgive then it leads to family, society or even country getting divided.

CM Patnaik believes that “I want Odia people to know that our goodness is being noticed. It is being valued. The world is beginning to discover it as a collective, pervasive, and characteristic of an entire people.”
