44271 Learning Licences Issued In Odisha After Implementation Of Amended MV Act

Bhubaneswar: Transport department has issued as many as 44271 learning licences between September 1 and September 18, officials said today.

Transport officials said that the process of issue of learning licences has been expedited after the amended MV Act was implemented in the state from September 1.

As per official statistics, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) II in Bhubaneswar has issued the most number of learning licences (5000) while RTO I, Bhubaneswar have issued as many as 3598 learning licences during this period. Currently, 35 RTOs are functioning across the state.

Earlier the Transport Department has asked the RTOs to open camp offices to help people for applying for driving licences.
