Rourkela: Around 30 persons were injured following a head-on collision between a bus and a truck at Chadrihariharpur in Kuanramunda on NH-143 in Sundargarh district this afternoon.
As per reports, the bus on its way to Rourkela from Jhurmura collided with the truck coming from the opposite direction near Kuanramunda.
Locals with the help of fire personnel rescued the injured and rushed them to Rourkela Government Hospital for treatment. Most of the victim sustained multiple injuries and were discharged after preliminary treatment.
However, the driver of the ill-fated bus has been admitted to the Ispat General Hospital as his condition became critical.
