Cuttack: At least two persons died and several others sustained injuries as a passenger bus in which they were travelling in overturned near Kajalakana in Choudwar of Odisha’s Cuttack district on Monday afternoon.
On being informed, Police, Fire Services personnel reached the spot and rescued over thirty passengers from the bus with the help of the locals.
The injured were rushed to the government hospital at Choudwar, while two among them were shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital here in critical condition.
According to reports, the private-run-bus, carrying about 50-60 passengers, was heading on its way to Cuttack from Angul. The incident occurred when the driver lost control over the wheels while trying to overtake a vehicle.
