Sambalpur: At least two persons were killed after two bikes crashed head-on at Binayakdera near Padiabahal under Sambalpur Sadar police limits last night.
The identifications of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
The mishap took place late last night while at least two persons were en-route to Sambalpur from Padiabahal area and failed to spot another vehicle which was coming from the opposite direction near Binayakdera.
As both the vehicles, one bearing the Registration Number-OD 15 P 6431 and the other bearing the Registration Number OD 15 K 7460 met head-on all three boarding those got critically injured on the spot. Two of them died before being rushed to a hospital.
Local police rushed to the spot and sent the injured biker to VIMSAR in Burla for treatment to start an investigation.
