Jajpur: At least two buses went on fire at Vyasanagar bus stand under Jajpur Road police limits here last night.
As per the report, the mishap took place minutes after two buses namely Sulochana and Nirupama, which run between Cuttack and Jajpur Road had been parked by the drivers after dropping passengers at the bus stand.
Some commuters spotted smokes billowing out of the buses and informed the drivers and helpers of those, who were having their dinner at a nearby eatery.
Fire tenders from Jajpur Road were called up immediately to the spot and the blaze was brought under control post a Herculean effort.
While both the vehicles have completely been gutted in the fire, police have launched an investigation to ascertain the cause behind the spark.
