2 killed, 1 critical as 2 bikes meet accident in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: In a tragic incident as many as two people were killed while another sustained critical injury in a road accident that took place in this district of Odisha on Friday. The road mishap occured in the Rengala Beda ghat road under Nayakot Police limits in Bansapal block.

The deceased persons have been identified as Dillip Palei of Marasuan village under Nayakot Police limits and Papu Pradhan of Raigoda village under Keonjhar Sadar Thana limits. The injured person has been identified as Harekrushna Pradhan of Raigoda village.

As per reports, Dillip Palei was travelling on his bike (OD09 J 4044) towards Kalimati from Sundara today evening when Papu Pradhan and Harekrushna Pradhan were coming in another bike (OR09 G 6313) from the opposite side. The two bikes met a head-on collision at the Rengala Beda ghat road.

As a result of the road mishap, Dillip and Papu died on the spot while the pillion rider Harekrushna sustained critical injury.

After being alerted Nayakot Police rushed to the spot and seized the two bodies. Police sent injured Harekrushna to Banspal hospital in a 108 Ambulance and sent the bodies for autopsy. The two bikes involved in the accident have been seized by Police while further investigation of the case is underway.
