2 friends killed as Bolero hits them in Odisha’s Dhenkanal dist

The deceased persons have been identified as Prithviraj Sahu and Soumyaranjan Kandi of Surapratappur

Dhenkanal: In a tragic incident as many as two persons were killed in a road mishap in Dhenkanal district of Odisha on Sunday. The accident took place in Kamakhya Nagar area of the district. The two deceased youths were close friends.

The deceased persons have been identified as Prithviraj Sahu and Soumyaranjan Kandi of Surapratappur village.

As per reports, a group of youths, who all are friends had organised a feast near the Kaluni Thakurani temple. These two friends were also among them. However, after attending the feast Prithviraj and Soumya were returning to home by walking on the road when a speeding Bolero vehicle hit them.

Following the accident, the Bolero driver fled from the spot along with the vehicle. Soon, the locals rescued the two youths and rushed them to the nearby hospital. Yet, the doctors there declared them brought dead.

After getting information, Police reached the spot and started investigation. The Bolero is yet to be caught. Further probe of the case is underway.

In another incident, as many as 8 people sustained injury after a bus and car met accident in Basudervpur area of Bhadrak district in Odisha on Sunday.
