IPL 2024 Auction: Set 2 comes to an end, here’s list of players sold out

The auction for the Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2024 is underway at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai from 1 pm IST.

Dubai: The auction of Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2024 is underway at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. In the ongoing auction, Pat Cummins, the World cup-winning captain of Australia, has become the most expensive player of the IPL history by being purchased by Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rs 20.5 crores.

At the same time, Daryl Mitchell from New Zealand has been sold to Chennai Super Kings for Rs 14 crore. The third expensive player so far is India’s Harshal Patel, who has been sold out to Punjab Kings at Rs 11.75 crores. The next in the list are Rovman Powell and Travis Head, who have been sold to Rajasthan Royals at Rs 7.40 crores and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rs 6.8 crore respectively.

Players including Daryl Mitchell (Rs 14 crores), Shradul Thakur (Rs 4 crores) and Rachin Ravindra (Rs 1.8 crores) have been purchased by Chennai Super Kings so far. Meanwhile, Harry Brook has been bought by Delhi Capitals at Rs 4 crores.

Punjab Kings has got Harshal Patel for Rs 11.75 crore and Chris Woakes Rs 4.20 crore. At the same time, Azmatullah Omarzai from Afghanistan has been sold to Gujarat Titans at Rs 50 lakh. Mumbai Indians has so far bought Gerald Coetzee for Rs 5 crores. Rajasthan Royals has purchased Rovman Powell for Rs 7.4 crores.

However, players including Rilee Rossouw, Karun Nair, Steven Smith and Manish Pander remain unsold in the first set of the IPL 2024 auction.
