Chairman of Cricket Association of Blind in India urges BCCI to support Indian Women’s Blind Cricket Team

New Delhi (ANI): India Women’s Blind Cricket Team will arrive at Delhi Airport after winning the Gold Medal in IBSA World Games 2023 on August 28.

In what was the inaugural women’s cricket final for the visually impaired, India prevailed in the title showdown with Australia by 9 wickets.

Mahantesh G.K, Chairman, Cricket Association of Blind in India was present at the airport to receive the team. “I’m extremely proud of these girls.

All of them are very new to this game. The team was constituted in April 2019 and had very little exposure still they convincingly beat both England and Australia.

The journey of these girls is very inspiring to me. These girls are going to be role models for visually impaired girls who want to play cricket.

I hope they get recognition for their hard work and that BCCI will support them financially so they can achieve something in life”, Mahantesh G.K told ANI.
