‘Australia 450/2, India 65 all out’, Mitchell Marsh’s prediction goes viral ahead of World Cup final showdown

Australian cricketer Mitchell Marsh had made a prediction around six months back about AUS beating IND by 385 runs in World Cup 2023 final.

India is set to take on Australia in the final match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19. With just one day to go for the match between Rohit Sharma’s India and Pat Cummins’ Australia. Predictions are buzzing around the tournament.

Australian cricketer Mitchell Marsh made a prediction about six months back that has now been turning heads. Speaking on a podcast by IPL franchise Delhi Capitals during the 2023 season, Marsh not only predicted Australia meeting India in the final but also predicted the scores. He said that Australia would win by a whopping 385 runs, with India scoring just 65 runs in the final.

The first part of Marsh’s prediction already came true. The five time world champions Australia (1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015) their spot in the World Cup final for the eighth time by defeating South Africa. India have also reached the summit clash, making their fourth appearance in the finals after 1983, 2003, and 2011.

Marsh’s bold prediction for the final says that Australia will remain undefeated, defeating India in the final; Australia 450-2 while India gets all out at 65.


Reactions to the Mitchell Marsh’s predictions included comments like, “Prediction go opposite some time … India 450/2 is quite likely scenario & with Indian spinners on charge 65 all out Australia is possible !!,” “Day dreaming,” among others.

Australia’s journey to the final included a nail biting three wicket win against South Africa in the second semi-final at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on November 16. Despite early setback against India and South Africa in the league matches, Australia bounced back with an impressive eight match winning streak.

On the other hand, India has entered the final with a perfect score of winning all ten matches. In the first semi-final match at Mumbai’s Wankhede stadium on November 15, they defeated New Zealand by 70 runs.
