An old video of a monkey saving a kitten from abandoned well has resurfaced and is once again winning hearts online. Shared on Twitter by CCTV IDIOTS, the clip shows a monkey struggling to get the kitten out of the muddy well. The baby feline look tired from trying to find a way out and kept meowing.
Further in the clip, the monkey too can be seen failing to try the kitten and then a woman comes to the rescue. She gets down the hollow and rescues them both.

So far, the reshared clip has garnered more than 3 million views and tons of comments. One person wrote, “Witness the most heartwarming monkey rescue ever! Wow” meanwhile, another questioned, “Why couldn’t the person who was holding the camera help the kitten.”
A third comment read, “Because they exhibit emotional and social behaviors among animals” and a fourth user supported the cameraperson and wrote, “I’m going to be honest. If I saw an animal try and rescue another one. I would watch and film it to see if they could. If they couldn’t then I would help and probably film that too. Even if the camera man staged this (bad form) the monkey’s efforts to save his kitten are stellar.”
