A video of a masala dosa sold at Rs 600 at Mumbai Airport has taken storm over the internet. The netizens have claimed the price of the south-Indian dish to be costlier than price of gold.
The video, shared by Instagram handle, @chefonindia, have displayed the menu of the eatery at the airport. If you buy masala dosa with buttermilk costs Rs 600, meanwhile a benne khali dosa costs Rs 620. The price increases if one orders filter coffee or lassi as their beverage with the dosa.
The video has garnered over 11 million views, with over 2.5 lakh people have liked it. Reacting to the video, one user commented, “And still really bad in taste, not to forget dry potato stuffing.” While another person said complaining, “Don’t we have any rules for over pricing?”
A user wrote, “200% true. Once I had a layover in Mumbai Airport and I was craving for a Dosa. When I went to a restaurant to have a Dosa, looking at the price of Dosa, my craving of having a Dosa just vanish away.” Adding to the comment section, a fourth person wrote, “Idiots are those who eat this dosa for 600 bucks.”
