Youth shot by masked miscreants in Rourkela, later hospitalised

Rourkela: A youth sustained critical injuries after he was allegedly shot by masked miscreants near Industrial Training Institute (ITI) under Bisra police limits in Rourkela today. 

The exact reason behind the firing is still unclear.

Reports say, some masked miscreants came and opened fire at one Mohammad Raja, a pick up driver and he sustained bullet injury near his stomach. He was immediately rushed to Bisra hospital for treatment, but after his health condition deteriorated he was shifted to a private hospital in Rourkela.

However, it is suspected that the incident could be the fallout of a group clash.

The Rourkela police have started a probe into the matter. A case has been registered and efforts are on to trace the accused.
