Anandapur: In a tragic incident, a youth was killed in a road mishap in Keonjhar district of Odisha on Sunday. The accident took place at the Bankhidi chhaka.
The deceased has been identified as Deba Nayak of a village under Harichandanpur police limits.
As per reports, the youth was heading for his destination early in the morning on his bike. When he was crossing Bankhidi chhaka somehow he lost control over the handle and met with an accident.
After witnessing the incident, the locals rushed to the spot, rescued him and sent to Anandapur hospital in a 108 Ambulance. However, the doctors there declared him brought dead.
After getting information, police personnel from Anandapur Police Station rushed to the accident spot and initiated investigation. The body has been seized and sent for autopsy while further investigation of the case is underway.
