Youth dies after being hit by firecracker in Khordha

Khordha: A youth died after being hit by a firecracker during the Dola festival at Nariso village in Balipatna block of Khordha district late Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Shruti Sarangi.

Reportedly, he was attending the Dola festival in his village late last night when a firecracker hit on his head.

He was immediately rushed to Niali Community Health Center (CHC). He was later shifted to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack as his health condition deteriorated.

However, he died while he was on the way to Cuttack SCB Hospital.
