Bhubaneswar: Youth abducted from near the Chandaka Police Station on the outskirts in Bhubaneswar allegedly over past enmity this evening.
One Ashish Ranjan Behera of Daruthenga village was going on the road along with one of his friends. In the meantime, a group of miscreants came in a car and forcefully put him in the vehicle and drove away. Behera’s friend, on the other hand, narrowly escaped from being kidnapped.
Though the exact reason behind the kidnap is yet to be known, it is suspected that he has been abducted due to some previous enmity. The abduction has left the people of the locality in a state of fear and panic.
Meanwhile, Chandaka police launched a probe into the matter based on the complaint filed by Behera’s friend.
