Yet another dengue death in Bhubaneswar raises concerns!

It has been reported on Monday that, a pregnant woman who was being treated at Capital Hospital has died of dengue.

Bhubaneswar: Dengue has claimed yet another life in the capital city of Bhubaneswar, raising concerns relating to the containment of the disease.

It has been reported on Monday that, a pregnant woman who was being treated at Capital Hospital has died of dengue.

According to reports, the Capital Hospital Director Laxmidhar Sahu has informed that, the woman died at around 11:05 pm on Sunday.

However, it has been reported that the newborn baby is healthy. She had given birth around seven days back.

The deceased was a resident of Rajkanika area of Kendrapara district in Odisha, said reliable reports.

Bhubaneswar reported this year’s first Dengue death on July 23, as a minor girl from Dharma Vihar under Ward No-63 of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) died due to mosquito-borne viral disease.

As alleged by the family members of the deceased girl, the seven-year-old was admitted at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after she was diagnosed with Dengue. However, she breathed her last today while undergoing treatment.

It is claimed that the cases of dengue following the onset of the monsoon is no the rise in different areas of BMC like Old Town, Nayapalli, Khandagiri and Dharma Vihar.

However, the BMC officials are toiling hard to create awareness among the residents and taking all possible efforts to check the further spread of mosquito-borne viral disease.
