Bhadrak: In an act of kindness, a GRP constable in Odisha has saved the life of an elderly woman in Bhadrak district, said reliable reports in this regard.

According to the information, on December 22, an elderly woman identified a Sasmita Nayak, who was waiting on the Platform no. 2 to go to Balasore at Bhadrak Charampa railway station.

Further it is wort mentioning that, got on the fast passenger train by mistake. The old woman jumped from the train after realizing that the train was heading towards Khurda Road instead of Balasore.

The GRP constable identified as Pratap Giri, a constable working on indoor duty at that time, went to rescue the woman who had fallen from the train while she was standing outside in the cold.

Later the woman drank water. When the woman’s relatives came, the woman was then taken away. After this the video went viral on social media, the constable has been congratulated from all quarters for the courage and presence of mind he showed in rescuing the woman.
