Was mentally stressed under family matter, says rescued Canara Bank Manager Tapan Sahu

Sahu was taken into custody by Golanthara Police and was interrogated about his sudden disappearance from Badamba

Cuttack: The rescued Canara Bank branch manager Tapan Kumar Sahu said that he was mentally stressed under family matter and therefore he went missing on his own, informed Additional police officer Debadutta Baral.

The bank manager who was mysteriously missing for the last three days was rescued from Girisola in Ganjam district yesterday. He was on his way to Girisola from Andhra Pradesh on his motorbike when he was traced and taken to the Golanthara Police Station.

According to sources, Sahu was taken into custody by Golanthara Police and was interrogated about his sudden disappearance from Badamba.

Later, the Golanthara Police handed over Sahu to Baideswar Police in Banki, where the missing complaint was initially lodged.

Tapan is the manager of Badamba Branch of Canara Bank.

Worth mentioning,  Tapan had gone to his father-in-law’s house in Berhampur. However, he left for Badamba on a bike on Monday. When he reached near Banki, he informed one of his colleagues that he would reach the office late.

However, later neither he reached the office nor was in touch with anyone. He mysteriously went missing and his mobile phone was switched off.

Later, Tapan’s family members filed a missing complaint at the Baideswar Police Station, based on which police started an investigation into the matter.
