Two arrested with brown sugar worth Rs 1.6 lakh in Bhadrak

In a major breakthrough, the Bhadrak Rural Police have reportedly arrested two persons after recovering brown sugar worth Rs 1.6 lakh from their possession today.

Bhadrak: In a major breakthrough, the Bhadrak Rural Police have reportedly arrested two persons after recovering brown sugar worth Rs 1.6 lakh from their possession today.

While patrolling in the Charampa area, a team of cops from the Bhadrak Rural Police station saw two youths and as suspicion on them grew; they managed to catch them and identified them as Sheikh Iftikhar of Bhadrak and MD Imran of Sunapali village in Sambalpur district.

While inspecting, cops seized 15.60 grams of brown sugar and a mobile phone from their possessions. Interrogation of Iftikhar and Imran is underway to find out since how long and whom they have been selling the brown sugar and others’ involvement in the case, said sources.

Both of them will be forwarded to the court after their medical examination, added the sources.
