Jajpur: Three people including two minors died in two separate incidents of drowning in Jajpur and Keonjhar in Odisha in last 24 hours.
In the first incident fire personnel, today fished out the bodies of a father-son duo who went on missing from Wednesday evening while taking a bath in Kharasrota river near Binjharpur in Jajpur district. The deceased have been identified as Saroj Bal (32) and his seven-year-old son Aayas, residents of Kalyanpur.
In the second incident, a five-year-old drowned in a pond near Ghatgaon in Keonjhar district. The deceased has been identified as Anus Kumar Mohanta. Police said that the family members of the victim rescued him from the pond and rushed him to the nearest hospital where he was declared received dead.
