These two residential areas in Bhubaneswar declared as containment zones

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has declared two areas in the State Capital city as containment zones following the detection of several Covid-19 positive cases.

The BMC in two separate notices informed that the residential colony of the Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB), Bidyut Marg. Unit-V and Behera Sahi, Rudrapur, Ward no 4 have been declared as containment zones to contain the further spread of the virus.

“Several positive cases have been detected inside residential colony of Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB). Bhubaneswar, Bidyut Marg. Unit-V and to contain further spread of COVID-19, it is necessary to make the affected area as a containment zone and to restrict public from entering into and going out of the containment zone,” said the BMC.

Now therefore, in the larger public interest and with a view to contain the spread of COvID-19, it is hereby directed to implement the following direction.

  1. The following Residential Apartment Buildings inside the Residential Colony of SIB. Unit V, Bhubaneswar, Ward No. 36 are hereby declared as the containment zones.
  • Residential Apartment of Type-4: Total 06 Quarters
  • Residential Apartment of Type-3: Total 04 Quarters
  • Residential Apartment of Type B1: Total 04 Quarters
  • Residential Apartment of Type B2: Total 05 Quarters
  • Residential Apartment of Type C: Total 06 Quarters
  1. No public shall be allowed to move into the containment zones and the inhabitants within the containment zones shall not move out.
  2. All the inhabitants within the containment zones shall strictly remain at home.

BMC will supply essentials and ensure medical requirements for the inhabitants in the containment zones. Shri Pradeep Dakua, Ward Officer, Ward No. 36 (9938315712) shall remain in-charge of supplies whereas Dr. Pritinanda (9937144152) and Dr. Sabita Das (7846822516) shall remain in-charge of medical requirements of the citizens inside the containment area.

The City Civic body further said that several positive cases have been detected in Behera Sahi, Rudrapur, Ward No-4 and to contain further spread of COVID-19, it is necessary to make the affected area as a containment zone and to restrict public from entering into and going out of the containment zone:

Now therefore, in the large public interest and with a view to contain the spread of COVID-19, it is hereby directed to implement the following direction.

The area coming within the boundary as indicated below of Berera Sahi, Rudrapur, Ward No 4 is hereby declared as the containment zone.

  • Hose of Nabhaghan Behera to house of Pathani Behera.
  • House of Pathani Behera to house of Padmalochan Behera.
  • House of Padmalochan Behera to house of Abani Behera.
  • House of Abani Behera to house of Nabhaghan Behera.

No public shall be allowed to move into the containment zone and the inhabitants within the containment zone shall not move out.

All the inhabitants within the containment zone shall strictly remain in home and all the shopping establishments of whatsoever nature shall be closed immediately.

All the Govt and private institutions located within the boundary of the containment zone is hereby closed forthwith.

BMC will supply essentials and ensure medical requirements for the inhabitants in the containment zones.

These following officers are hereby declared as the Nodal Officers to ensure smooth supply of essential/ facilities in respect of the containment zone.
